Bay Area 1er sighting

Saw two ones today up close and personal. Because it was such a nice day I headed up to Page Mill to Skyline for a nice drive through the twisties. I ended up pulling over at a nice look out on Skyline just north of Page Mill and within a few minutes a White 135 with Coral interior pulled up with his buddy in a S2000. We got to talking and a few minutes later a Montego 135 pulled up. It was a guy with his girlfriend, so I didn't get a chance to talk to him.

The white 135 was stock, but I think the Montego might have had downpipes or something because it didn't sound stock when it left, but it did have the stock tips.

It was pretty weird running into two ones up there because I still don't see that many of them.

Anyway the guy with the White/Coral 135 said he checkout this site so if you see this post it was nice talking to you.

Hey, it was great talking to you too! Still can't believe there were so many 1s along Skyline. Beautiful car, by the way; thanks for the walkaround.

I drive skyline 2+times a week. Never seen a 1'er up their yet. Just many GT3's, caymans, and AMG's. Then again I usually start my drive anywhere between 9-11pm due to the high amount of patrol.

I saw two 1ers yesterday:

In the morning saw a 128 convertable. We were side by side, but he didn't want to acknowledge. That said, it will probably be the last time I try to contact a driver in a 128...I mean, most of the time they do not appear to be enthusiasts. Oh, and it should be recommended that if you are a guy, in san francisco, driving a 128, convertible, you should at least lower the car or put some nice rims on it.

The second one I saw was around 8:00 pm on Milbrea getting onto 101. It was a black vert; couldn't tell if it was a 128 or 135...I was a couple cars behind trying to drive while eating an in-n-out burger at the same time.

spotted a montego blue 1er on burlingame ave at around 8:30pm today right across from Trapeze.

From a distance, spotted a silver 135i on Johnson & Owens Dr in Dublin at around 12:30pm yesterday. It then entered the parking lot of Home Depot nearby. Love seeing the 1er in motion.

saw a white 135i with an asian female driving on 880 near the 101 junction at around 3:40 today. You were in the number 2 lane and i was just coming onto the freeway stuck in hella traffic.

Well it actually seems to me from my observations that both 128i and the 135i drivers do not seem to be enthusiasts, except a couple that i've passed lately.

Where are the enthusiasts period. Even in the bay.

Saw a white 1er in Yosemite of all places today. Doubt that person is on here though. I was in a silver 335i sedan.

did not sight a 1-er but did sight a cop doing laser on Lawrence Ave northbound at Pruneridge about 7:30am today. I mention this because I have seen fellow 1-ers on this stretch of road in the morning. Be careful.

Good chance that was Gordon from Edge Motorworks. Only a couple blocks away. Non-stock wheels, a bit lower, R1 comps (last I saw it).

I guess I can mention that I saw three 135s this past Saturday afternoon in Half Moon Bay. A coupe parked in front "Its Italia" on main street; a vert was parked a few block down in front of some metal art gallary [looked like a junkyard

]; and lastly a black 135 heading south on 1 (at a pretty good clip it seemed

; I was unfortunely stuck in traffic heading north).

The black 135 heading south on 1 might have been me - if it was a 'vert.

I drove up from 9, did Skyline, 92 to Half Moon Bay, 1 south to Santa Cruz and back to the valley via 9. Great day for a ride. I didn't stop anywhere except Santa Cruz for coffee.

Funny - I didn't see any other 1ers. I did see a Lambo and Ferrari on Skyline going the opposite direction.

nah, it was a coupe and was spotted north of HMB. A lot of 1ers out that day.
