Lightbulb E82 Light-Up Eyebrows Help!?

Hi Guys,

I need some help with my E82 Headlights, I have the non-Xenon Headlights which are all OEM, including the light-up eyebrows which can be seen in the images provided.

How do I get these to work?

I have read several things online however nothing is conclusive and everything suggests to do a non OEM modification which I do not want to do as it may result in the BC (Board Computer) reading errors with the headlights.

Please Help!

P.S I have had a look inside and they are definitely real eyebrows and not stickers aha.

Thanks.

The brows on the LCI halogen lights do not light up unfortunately. There's no bulb or filament, or LED strip in the brow for it to light up. You can open the headlights if you'd like, and add a LED strip to the brow.

Thanks for your help.

How would you recommend powering these LED strips?

Or would you just recommend upgrading to the OEM Halo/Xenon headlights?

If so do all OEM Halo/Xenon headlights have the light-up eyebrows?

If you're comfortable opening up your headlights, you could absolutely add the LED strip if you wish. Would simply need to tap into a power and ground of your choice for when you want them on.

You can totally retrofit some Bi-Xenon headlights as well if you'd rather have an OEM setup. It's been done before for cars that originally came with halogens and upgraded. The threads are floating around out there on what's involved and how to do it.

Thanks for the advice, I don't feel very confident opening up the headlamp to be honest, I shall take a look online and my local sprap-yard for a pair of Bi-Xenons.

Take a look at my thread here if you do end up finding the Xenons.

That's great, thanks for your help, can I ask, did you put your own led strip into the headlight?

and if you did how?

and do you have a link to the one you purchased please?

Thank you very much.

No, these are OEM Euro Market Valeo (BMW OEM) LCI headlights - Xenons, not Halogens.

Email nikita.zaburunovs@autobodyshop.lv - They're in Latvia, but they've got the best prices on these. There's likely more you need to do to do a halogen->HID conversion, but I think there are other treads that go into detail on that.
