ED Not available for a year?
Hi guys, new to the forums but am definitely putting down a deposit soon for a 135 (1st bimmer and very excited). I called several dealerships and have at least a few tell me that typically ED is unavailable for first run cars and likely not available for the 1 series for at least a year. Can anyone confirm this?

I think that is false, my dealer gave me the option of first on his ED list or First on his allocation list, he told me in the end I would probably be driving the car on these shores at about the same time. I choose the guaranteed first allocation spot. Leaves nothing to question that way.

I got my ED e90 330i the 2nd week it was available in the US. There were people who picked theirs up the day it was available in the US that I "know" from Bimmerfest.

Certain models have occasionally been unavailable though ED, but it's usually the more exotic stuff like the Z8. ED typically IS available immediately for virtually all BMWs made in Germany (or Austria in the case of the X3). |
