n55 Boost solenoid Failing?
Hey guys recently i have been having issues with my car over boosting and going into limp mode. codes are 2c56 and 2c58 both are related to charging pressure control. Let me start by saying my car is a 2011 135i dct. Ive already replaced all the plugs coils and even the HPFP. The car is stock besides a charge pipe and catless downpipe. Ive been dealing with limp mode going wot in 4th gear and up. Ive did some monitoring on mhd and realized im hitting up to 20 psi! i should only be hitting 9. So ive been searching and ive read something about the boost solenoid and the vacum lines connecting to it? I Inspected my car and The lines connecting to solenoid look like they have seen better days. Before i go ahead and replace the boost solenoid i was hoping someone could give me some insight?! Has anyone had this issue before? Car does not go into limp mode at all regular driving only when step on it in a higher gear.

Which chargepipe do you have?
Does it have meth bungs with a screw in it? Check if one of them fell out. That recently happened to me and kept sending me into limp mode |

For what it's worth, I did mine last night. My car is a 2008 with 163,000 km on it (102,000 miles). I was getting a 30FF low boost code maybe once every 4 weeks or so when going WOT. Other than that, they had no signs of failure. |
