How many kilometers do you do with one tank?

Well...

Dunno if its my aggressive driving, but i can only do ~300km with a full tank of Shell V Power.

80% city driving and 20% highway.

Just curious to see how much others are getting with a full tank.

EDIT: i am driving a 2009 135i vert

On the 125i (128) I get around 540km city driving. If i'm messing around and driving with some spirit (ok, that's most of the time) i'll get around 500km.

Freeway that jumps to 660km if i can behave myself and stick to the limit of 110km/h.

I used to get around 280-300km for the first 30,000km's. Lately, I've been driving in D where I can and I get an extra 50-100km's per tank! I think it also helps that my car is fully broken in now

I have a 2011 135i 6MT (N55) with only slightly over 7000 km and have always gotten at least 450 km out of a tank, if not more. On the highway, averaging about 125-130 km/h, I can get close to 600 km on a tank.

I followed the break-in procedure and use Shell V-Power 91 Octane almost exclusively.

I've also been to TO 3 times since I got my car and even in dense TO traffic I would not drop to 400 km/tank.

You guys must be having a LOT more fun with your cars than I am. I guess I just need to push it harder, but then again I'm usually with my wife and she doesn't appreciate such behavior.

2009 135i 6MT. 350-400km/tank normally 60% city 40% highway including stuck in rush hour traffics morning and evening.
Last time when I was driving to Montreal, I got around 580km a tank on 401.

Our gas tank is too small for our engine size... less than 55L, even smaller than the tank in a mini cooper!

im really surprised at how little you guys get with 1 tank....

maybe it's my driving habits...

i used to get around 650~700km in my MKV GTI while others are struggling to get 500km

now im getting around 500~600km in my N55 135i (i have 3400km so far) and im about 60% highway and 40% city driving.

only chevron 94 for both cars by the way.

It's your car's average speed man. You must be not only driving gently but also not too fast. Like I bet under 120kph. IF I use my cruise control and drive under 130 kph I can average 9.5 liters/100 kph. That is roughly 19 mpg I think.

Normally I can get 440 kms on one tank. I average about 12L/100 kph. I normally fill up on 48 liters or so. Sometimes a bit more. SuperPlus gas at 98 (german) octane.

Normally after I have driven 300 kms or so I am looking for a gas station. Mainly bc in order to get Tax Free gas(only $3 per gallon) in Germany... we Americans need to use an Esso card at any Germany Esso(Exxon) station. But... there are few Esso's on the Autobahns. And having a Navi helps me find the off autobahn ones. Paying for German gas at $7 per gallon is not fun! Esp while driving a 135i thirst for fuel! :")

The worst fuel mileage I have seen is 145 kms on HALF a tank, 28 liter fill up. When I drove up to Hamburg I drove almost 600 miles and had to fill up three times in one day! Two full fillups and one half tank fillup. I never thought I would see the day when I would be buying two or three tanks of gas in one day! lol But I do.

Now when I travel somewhere far... I drive 130 kph and set the criuse. Unless something tastey appears in my rear view mirror and the autobahn is empty! :") Even though the computer will say 470 kms left on a full tank... when I get to near 400km, I am looking for fuel/tanken.
