Lens diameter on DEPO projector

Hey Everybody,

I was wondering what the diameter of the DEPO projector is? I was considering putting in a new projector but I am unsure if its 2.5" or 3.0"

Thanks

Have you tried contacting them?
I believe the diameter is 2.0", maybe 2.5" but definitely not 3.0"

What projector were you planning on retrofitting?

I will definitely check the diameter when I have time to drive but I figured if somebody knew

I have some pretty good 3.0" options like the RX 350 or Hella e55
but 2.5" would be a bit more complicated... I'd assume it would be something like the FX-R

I don't think the FX-R would fit because of its length. You might have to cut a hole on the sealing cap to plug in your ballast. The mini d2s would work just fine.

I will go and measure the headlights tomorrow and report back.

Just a thought: the mini's are also 3" lenses and because the DEPO's are somewhat based on BMW's design, I would assume they mimic the Hella E55 which would be the start projector in a 128i which happens to also be 3".

I guess I want OEM performance if not better, not sure the mini's can deliver that

Bmw uses Bosch bi-xenons from the e46 I believe. The issue doesn't occur with the lens of the projector but lies with the length of the body. Depo does in fact use 2.5" lens but you must take into account the size of the body of the projector.
This is my reasoning behind suggesting the morimoto mini series.

I totally agree, might be a snug fit for the fxr.

I see that you have "FX-R Bi-Xenon Projectors With 5000k Bulbs" how did you go about adding those?
