125i Evolve R Tune (Dyno inside)
Updated 27th August 2014 with 161kw atw manual 125i
Updated 14th May 2014 with Auto 125i Dyno result 125i before and after dyno with the Evolve R tune Car was not removed from the dyno during the flash process to eliminate variables. Method was strap the car on for the base run, flash the car, then straight into the tuned run (ideally the ECU would bed in or adapt to give a couple extra KWs). 125i Manual Before: 127.3 After: 161.4 Gain of 34.1kw or 26.7% 125i Manual Car is running 98 fuel, has 70,xxx kms and no other mods Before: 128kw After: 152.5kw Gain of 24.5kw or 19% Dyno sheet: 125i Auto Before: 114.1kw After: 138.2kw Gain of 24.1kw or 21% Dyno sheet: From memory a stock 130i on this dyno gets 145-147kw atw... I will find a graph later and overlay it. Regardless, great result and definitely a worthwhile investment for any 125i owner Last edited by Stuart@BMRAutowerkes; 08-27-2014 at 01:54 AM.. |

How did you leave it on the dyno until the tune file came? I am waiting for a file at the moment for a 125i and it has been 4 days from when i read it and i'm still waiting.

the read was done a few days prior, then once we had the tuned file we dyno'd before uploading tuned file, then again after flashing.

V. nice! My car is currently with Andrew@southernBM awaiting a tune! Is it affected by BMW ECU updates during service?

If your car is out of warranty just tell them not to update the ECU. If they do update it we will update the tune for no charge. The installer may charge for their time to re-install it. You would have to discuss that with them. |

Great to see a real dyno result. I chickened out of doing it a few months back due to lack of 'real' results...possibly back on the cards now.
Look forward to hearing what the guys waiting for their tunes to come think once it is done. |

Did an Evolve-R tune on a 125i auto today.. dyno sheet in first post!
Similar gains of 24kw atw... fantastic gain and again shows not just for the manual 125 guys but the auto guys too. |

Fantastic gains for an NA engine!
For comparisons sake -One of my first cars, a dc2r (integra type R) - stock : 110kw atw - add headers, intake, exhaust: 123kw atw - apexi tune: 128kw atw LOL never went back to NA ever again. But these results from just a tune beg to differ! |
