Picking up my 135 tomorrow!

2010 135, sport pkg, auto and that's it. Bare bones but all I care about is the sport pkg. it has only 19k miles on it and looks brand new, like my '12 GTI with 14k on it. Paid 23k for it and from my research seems to be pretty good considering the miles. It's from a lexus dealer and has clean carfax. So I would welcome the experts input on here about the deal I got. Also my first mod is going to be replacing the yellow angel eyes. Input on a good brand would be appreciated as well. I'm ordering overnight tomorrow to have for the weekend. Thanks!

Welcome Gregorio and congrats. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Sports pkg is all you need.

One thing I noticed is the drl angel eyes only light up if the parking lights are on. Aren't they supposed to be on all the time when the car is running?

You can turn on that option in the idrive settings. They are in the DRL settings. At least that's the way it is for my 2011 135i.

That's great! I picked up my 08 AW/AG, M-Sport, Premium, Sport 6-speed with 65k on the clock for $19. It sounds like you got a good deal at $23 given the miles.

Nice Ride! Be careful messing around with these headlights. Do a lot of research prior to changing the AE's. For me, it's not worth it.

I did some research on the LED bulbs and determined that it may be too much of a headache for me. I did order the Phillips Diamond Vision H8 5000k bulbs though. Since they are still halogen and relatively cheap, I figured no harm in giving it a go.

Question-I plugged my iPhone into the USB port and nothing. I could not get the music to play through the radio. Any thoughts?

I took the car to my local dealer for a pre purchase inspection, and alignment, and they said they haven't seen a 2010 that clean....ever. I am very anal about babying my cars and keeping them looking new and this car is cleaner than my GTI I got rid of. It was a '12 with only 14k on it and I thought it still looked like new. This 2010 with 19k on it is superior in condition to my old car. Not a wrinkle or stretch in the leather, no worn or shiny hand contact surfaces whatsoever, like the steering wheel and shift knob. Even the air dams under the front of the car have nary a mark and those usually have road rash. Overall I am satisfied with the find so far. Ordered matte black grills, 5000k AE bulbs and LED interior kit. Sorry for rambling, I'm in the honeymoon stage...for now...

It the basic black. I really wanted the coral red but damn if it wasn't hard to find. Plus I'm kind of a mileage snob and low miles are far more important than color and options.

So I swapped the angel eye bulbs for the Phillips Diamondvision 5k and it made a noticeable improvement over the dull orange stock bulbs. The one on the left is stock, right is the 5k bulb. Sorry for the crappy pic but I had to crop the shite outta it to get it to fit the max file size
