VMR worked to piece together a set of wheels I've been after for a while. Out of stock and discontinued but Brad was able to do it. So it seems my wheel search may be over

for 6 months lol

Staggered set of 701's. I've been looking all over the place trying to source a staggered set and Brad was able to pull something together for me.

I'm going to be building a new set when I go wide later this year/early next

Nice. Those are on the short list if I keep the car. Good Luck.

I am surprised no one has installed a red start button in their 1er yet. Must be the newest fad in the BMW community this year.

Ughh...

Seeing 128i's without oil temp gauges reminds me that I need to do my DIY on the cluster swap.

And a DIY on alignments.

I'm sorry.

Start button was falling out when I bought the car- broken bezel.
Replaced with OEM part. Easy peezy.
Didn't do it, but was tempted to vinyl wrap the bezel.

I like having the gauge. It's amazing how long it takes the oil to get up to temp from absolute cold, but how quickly it comes up after parking for an hour...

I should wrap mine orange, or, just the bezel.

Sorry, I thought you meant ughh about the red button.

I'm not too concerned about the gauge, though I wouldn't mind having it. Been thinking about the M cluster to get one, but that might be a bit too much. For now, if I need to see the temps, there's Carly or Torque.

I'm more interested in the heat exchanger. How's it working out? I've had mine lying around since November of '15.

Temps have been rock-steady. I was at Summit Point Motorsports Park for a weekend a couple weeks ago. The ambient temperatures were around 50F in the morning, then got up to 70-80F in the afternoon; oil temp never passed 240F, which is perfect in my book...

EDIT: Also, it warms up a hair faster in winter, and the temps seem better regulated overall...

Read through the 8932553 pages of this thread that I missed and DROVE the 1er for the first time in a month. Been away in Hawaii for a few weeks. Car started right up even though I forgot to put it on the battery tender lol.

Sadly the local forecast is rain, thunderstorms, and more rain for the rest of my life (7 days). So it'll be some time before I can get out there and really enjoy the car with the windows down!
