Anybody have any new videos or sound clips of this system? Magnaflow's site shows it in stock at about $800.

Cutting/Welding for Magnaflow?

Does the Magnaflow bolt right up with the clamps, or is there cutting/welding necessary?

Thanks...

I had the Maggies on my E46 M3, and they simply sounded awesome! With the rasp pipe, the sound was perfect. I will say that they used at the time, not sure about now, a lower grade stainless steal which started to rust.
Regardless was a great bang for buck.

Anyone have drive by clips of this system, i cant find any ANYWHERE in Internet? Does this system really have true X over pipes b/c i only see 1 pipe? Heres the Magnaflow link . . . . http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ayproducts.asp
Heres the ********** link http://www.**********s.com/MagnaFlow...ystem_135i.htm but the pic is of a different system so im wondering if the dyno gains are for the right system.

Ok, I called magnaflow technical, the system is a 3 inch pipe from 2nd cat back, straight thru muffler into 2, 2.5 inch tips. It weighs 40lbs. Dyno gains on stock are 7-9rwhp. Does this Dyno gain seem realistic for a system like this?

I have this system on mine, and I LOVE it. Easy install, GREAT sound. NOT loud, but just a low rumble and sweet tone all the way up the rev range. Curious to see how it sounds with my catless DP's in a few weeks. BTW, I scored it off Ebay for under $500.....just saying.

I will have to do some sound clips for you guys soon. I need to borrow a good camera though, I will see who has one at the BMW meet this weekend.

Bolts right up, took about 20 minutes to remove the old, and put on the new.

this is one of the best sounding 135i exhausts i have ever heard, i thought the eisenmann would have been louder , the meisterschaft compares, but this just does it for me.

does anyone have it? performance gains?
I've heard a number of exhausts for the TT engine but honestly, none of them really sound "good". Something about this engines exhaust that just doesn't get better with aftermarket, for me. The stock one sounds about as good as it gets, it's just quiet. Nearly all of these aftermarket systems are louder, but their tone isnt any better.
The M3 sounds good in inline 6 or V8 forms, but not this TT engine.

To me the beauty sounds of this engine is how it sings at high rpms, it's just smooth, silky, but the exhaust just isnt' there.

Have you heard cp-e, an exotic note, clean. Magnaflow seems pretty clean, not farty. The MadDad whisper seems similar to the magnaflow although i do agree there a many exhausts offered that dont have the best sound and are overpriced.

Magnaflow doesn't have the install for their 135i axle back exhaust posted to their website, but here it is...

Takes 20 minutes to install

Took me too long to get the OEM exhaust off the hangers and about 5 min to install after.

Initial impressions:

-Perfect Fit.
-Nice low growl, gets better after about 100 miles or so
-Seems to add a few hp

Now I'm going to work my way to the front...midpipes next.

Are you definitely set on the Magnaflow?

Here's an extract from the Project 135i blog:

"Having proven themselves in other tuner car markets, Berk Technology has been doing R&D and showcasing their own Project 135i quite heavily on the 1Addicts.com forums. So as one of their dealers, we reached out to them on this system to use on our promotional car. With only 1 other muffler in existence, Bryan of Berk Technology fired up the welder and produced number 2 exhaust for us at Vivid Racing."

Link to the full write-up on the exhaust, which includes a link to video:
