Style 5s (BBS RC090) on 135
Hello everyone,
Hoping someone here is able to help me out and confirm if the 17 inch BMW from a E39 will fit on a 135? I currently drive a E90 335 and had to swap the front brakes to the OEM 135 brakes to get the wheels to fit. I want to follow up and swap out the rear brakes to match, but it appears that these may be larger than the standard 335 rear brakes. I have read through this thread of them fitting properly on a 128 but am aware the 135 did not share the same brakes. Looking if anyone can confirm these wheels will or will not fit a 135? Hoping someone can help same me the trouble of swapping out the wheel hubs and then having them not fit. Thanks! |

Not sure to be honest but you're gonna need a roll and a pull for sure. Post some pics if you make em work tho!

Here is the 135 brake from the front. They bolted right up to the OEM 335 mounting points, 135 rotor fit with no issues:
For those looking to do this, to get the calipers to fit, you have to cut the heat shield and also grind away at a mounting point used for the heat shield. Here is what it looked like before: And after: As for the rears the calipers bolted to the OEM mounts no problem. The issue was with the rotor, it appears that the 135 wheel hubs come roughly 10mm out wider than the 335s: You can see the gap in the bolt slots. Guess I will be swapping wheel hubs and bearings and hoping for the best then. Mods please feel free to move this to the brake section if that makes more sense. Shot of the car with the wheels on, the rear fenders need to be rolled definitely: |
