Ahha. Nice paint job then.

Little teaser. Bumper has been wet sanded, compounded and polished. Wheels mounted and sealant put on.

Last few things to wrap up tomorrow and hopefully pull it out of the garage just in time for a rainy weekend drive.

Looking great! How did you put the fender liner in, did you end up taking off the coils?

And FYI, I learned this the hard way... If you decide to swap out your rear bumper carrier, MAKE sure to replace that gasket (or put over). It's a one time use gasket, and that was the culprit to my water leak in the trunk. I still don't understand how water could go up from the bumper carrier, but it definitely fried my amp and CA modules.

I ended up just making a small cut since I didn't want to mess with dropping the coils and needing a re-alignment. It made more sense to wait until i got the Ohlins and M3 control arms on and then get a pro-alignment.

Ill see if I can take a quick shot of how it turned out. I planned it carefully and you can't really notice where I made the cut.

Thats unfortunate. I believe I already purchased those gaskets and are sitting in my parts bin. Ill be sure to put them on when I get to the rear!

- Added picture of where I cut the liner next to the bolt. Best picture I can do until the cars on the lift again.

Finally done. Took it for a drive this morning with a break in the rain. Beyond happy with how it turned out.

Some better pictures out in the sun with the good camera today before taking it on a nice drive.

Also laste update for a while until this winter. Up next will be Ohlins R&T, 1M/M3 control arms w/ rouge or turner bushing, knuckles, etc. and finally 1M/M3 brakes or StopTech. Haven't made up my mind on brakes yet.

I am SO impressed by your paintwork on these. The fact that this was done with rattle cans blows my mind.

Car is looking awesome man!!

What did you do with the side skirts to make them fit?

I removed the first bottom plastic bolt that holds the side skirt to the body so I could pull it outward to wrap over the M3 fender liner. The M3 fender liner is supper tough compared to the plastic side skirt and holds it well. Once it's in place you'll have to heat and start pushing in the top of the side skirt to start matching the 1M fender.

As you can see mine came back out a little after a couple days. Just need to reheat and keep chasing it until it finally takes the right form.

Fitment is not bad at all! I was debating to the conversion piecemeal, but I think I'm just going to do it all at once after I find a good shop to do the rear quarters.

Yea it's not a bad temporary solution. Just realized how bad those pictures make it look. In natural light it looks decent. It also helps the car is black as well. Really hides it.

Getting ready to order my front end parts. Glad you were able to get the skirts to kind of match with the heat gun method.

What are your front wheel specs?

Do you have any poke? Running my rear wheel with a 20mm spacer will poke 12mm less than your setup.

No poke. It completely fills the wheel wells. It's the same offset Apex uses with their wider wheels up front for the 1M.

Once I install the M bits up front it should bring the wheel in just a little.

Well damn. Gonna need to revisit wheels for the car then.

Another note, the M3 arms up front will push the bottom of the wheel out, top stays put. Just a fyi.

Got around to installing my Lightweight Fender Decals. Wasn't sure how they would look on a BSM car but I think they came out pretty well.
