HD radio free when ordering new navigation?

was reading thru new price lists for 09 under HD radio option 653 it lists that it is a no charge if ordered with option 609 (navigation) does anyone know what the story is do you specifically have to order the hd radio or does it come free with the navigation , i would never pay for HD radio but if they are offering it free of charge i would take it

AFAIK the HD radio is a no-cost option with 609 Navigation - if you select it you don't have to pay extra, but you have to explicitly request it to get it. That's what my dealer told me and what's indicated in the leaked pricing.

i wonder if it is to late to add to my order, my car isnt scheduled to be built until week 39

One more confirmation on the free HD with Nav. My CA for the MSP program came right out and told me the HD radio would be free. I was debating the option before, but now it's one less feature that I have to second-guess myself on.

Good find, guys. I just wanted to let you know I've enjoyed HD radio so far, but it does depend on the offering in town and the bitrate your stations offer. I would have certainly considered swapping the hd and the usb option for nav were I getting a 2009. Maybe in a couple of years.

I squeaked in just in time, I emailed my CA last week and asked him to add the HD Radio and it now shows up on the option list right down below "Schedule for Production". Thank you monaco1!
