e90 jerks when putting it in drive

i've noticed lately that my car jerks slightly when putting into reverse, neutral, and drive. should i be overly concerned?

i'm still under warranty if that makes any difference.

My wife's 325 auto trans does this too, but only a little bit, not sure how much you are getting. Our mechanic told me not to worry as it is just the rear axle loading up on the drive train. You can actually see the cars rear end lower a bit when put in gear when loading it up. If your experience is more drastic than this, I would have it checked out to be safe.

the jerking developed very recently. i've also noticed that the timing feels off when the gears change. something feels off. not too sure how else to explain it.
