yellow sprocket

last night I got a yellow sprocket with an exclamation point on my gauge cluster. i was at a red light and when the light changed to green i hit the gas and my car went no where. i turned off my car and turned it back on and the car moved for a half of a block and did it again.

i find this very weird considering i just cleaned my car prior and it was driving fine. as i pulled into my garage last night i would put the car in reverse and on the cluster it would display that the car is on netural so i would turn off the car and turn it back on in order to reverse and when i do tht it would move a little and go right ack to netural.

any ideas?

car was running fine ....

tried searching but no info

That's a transmission warning....
No clue what's wrong. Still under warranty, you have a 2008?

First, scan and look up the fault codes.

It might be due to a leaking mechatronic sleeve inside the transmission? That part is prone to leak for our cars.
