Have had mine for two years and the only thing I regret is that now I really want a 1M. I paid $30k for my 135 when 1M's were easily $80k. My car is probably worth around $20k and 1Ms are in the 60's so when they get consistently in the 50's I will change over. I have done a few cosmetic mods which I do like and the only thing now that will make this a keeper is a 1M conversion.

I just bought a 135i convertible in preference to an e46 m3... I love the little car, but am adding up what I'm likely to spend on mods (diff, intake, exhaust, tune) and am wondering if I should've saved more to begin with and got a e93 m3...

When I'm finished it'll be faster than a m3, but it'll never 'be' an ///M...

That's the best bit. When they look at u like ur lunch then at next lights realize they just blew 100k for nothing. Go buy the M3 and be that chump lol. And remember atleast you get to go home in a real ///M lol.....

For me there's more satisfaction in owning a modded car over a stock one. And it wouldn't matter what car I had, I would end up modding it anyway. So an M3 would be far from stock too. The 135i is great little package with plenty of potential for a relatively small investment in comparison to its bigger brother. The ability to make so much power over stock from the detuned engine for such small $$$ still blows me away.
