I did my grips matte black about a week ago. They did not cover all the outside rim of the grills but that was user error on my part. I will redo it and when I do I am going to try and place them on some sort of pedistool so I can spay the rim horizontally instead of the steep angle I had for the can when the grills were laying flat on the ground. I have watched a bunch of videos on YouTube as well and have been thinking of doing some things but not wanting my car to look ricey has alway stopped me. I was thinking of doing the horizontal piece in my break ducting of the from grill Red to tie in the red interior just a bit. I have also considered doing a matte black lines like the tii coupe concept or along the sides lines kind of like Saubur. I don't know though. I don't just want to copy someone elses design but I also want to follow the lines of the car and be subtle. What do you guys think?

How durable is it for wheels compared to powder coating?

Is it removable?

It is kind of like latex as far as durability and removal. It peals off and thickness and durability increase with more coats. For instance for under $30 I coupe paint lines on my car and add a metallic clear. Then if I decide I don't like it or want to do something else I just peal it off and am only out $30 and some of my time. People have done entire cars. I think there is a neon green 135i out there and a matte white e92 M3

Pretty easy to peel off. Requires some effort, and depending on the wheel design (or whatever you're spraying) it could be a bit of a pain.

I had mine on for about 6 months. Plenty of snow / sliding / playing around with them and there wasn't a single blemish. It holds up well... and hell, just respray if something happens to it!

This shows the color better than the other one, i don't have any close ups of the wheel at this point, i'll try to grab some once finals are over next week. Sorry for the giant pictures, photobucket never works and won't let me edit any pictures.

That was the original plasti dip blue(3 gallons) from dip your car, with .5-.75 a black tint bottle mixed together with a gallon of pearlizer. Came out awesome.

I just got my car a couple of days ago and first thing I did was plasti dip the chrome grills matte black as practice to cover the (imo) worst wheel paint job I've seen ever!
