Advan RS Staggered on the 135i
I did a search and didn't come up with anything. Has anyone seen or heard of anyone running 18x8.5f & 18x9.5r??
The 18x9.5 come in 3 offsets 25, 35, & 45. The 18x8.5 come in 32 & 38. I'd really like to stuff as much rubber on the wheels as possible. So what are your views on this? Have you seen anyone with a similar setup? Does anyone plan on getting these wheels? Will we have rubbing issues in the rear with 255-275 tires? cheers, Penn |

Those offsets are not going to work especially if you're trying to to fit those sizes. To fit a 275 on the back you're going to need +52 (probably more) at least.

Now, he can fit the 9.5" 45 with some 255's in the back (same specs as the VMR CSL reps), but those might rub depending on the tire. 265 is going to rub and a 275 is surely not going to fit. |

Thanks for all the input. So it looks like anything wider then 255 is going to rub with +45. That kinda sucks, maybe I will wait for the D-Force 1 series specific wheels to come out, but they don't look nearly as great as the Advan RS.

I've been lusting after the Advan wheels since I first saw them on the white 135i from Japan.
I'm considering going with 19s since you can get a +42 offset for the front. They're not cheap though. http://www.gruppe-s.com/Advan/advank10i.htm |

Im debating on these wheels versus a few HREs that I like. Wont have my mind made up for a few months waiting on something new that will be released in April/May.

with a 215/40-18 tires it works!
The drawing shows the original 18" OEM set up in blue and the new one in red. As you can see the wheel sticks out more towards the fender, this shouldn't be problem because it has the same basic effect a spacer has. Last edited by HighQ; 09-22-2009 at 09:17 AM.. |

There are people on this board already running that exact offset with 255s on them, and no rubbing issues. It's only 1/2" closer to the fender. |

Thanks, so if anyone else wants to know... Style 261m
245/35/18 x8.5 et52 in the rear 215/40/18 x7.5 et49 in the front I think the tires are BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE050 RFT, but I need someone to validate that. Hope this helps people who are trying to find wheels |
