2009 BMW 135i e82 O2 sensors going off
Hi All, If anyone has any idea what is happening to my car. If I start the car and clear all my o2 sensors drive the car around nothing comes up. But if you check in the computer all for o2 sensors say they have been activated nothing on the dash. Shut the car off and restart and a check engine light comes on. All 4 o2 sensors come up I dont think all of them could be bad. Did this happen to anyone before I just bought this car not to long ago but just started driving it. Also not sure if it has been programmed.
Thanks for your help! Last edited by Mike8684; 12-24-2019 at 11:27 AM.. |

Hey Mike,
You should take a look at how 'open loop' works with your o2 sensors and how they report to the DME. It is possible that when your car first starts if you've cleared the codes it will run normally, and then when the car attempts to go into closed loop it will throw the codes as the o2 sensors are now reporting fault information. It's possible they are all on their way out. Good luck and happy motoring!

You are only getting codes for the heater circuit, not the signal portion of the sensors. Check your heater circuit to make sure you are getting power to the heating elements. Could just be a blown fuse. Check the blow by heater for shorts, could have blown the fuse.
