Ordering with BMW performance parts

Is it possible to order a 135 and include BMW performance parts in the final price of the car to finance and have the parts installed when it arrives at the dealership? I would prefer this option opposed to buying the parts in full separately.

When you order a car with BMW Performance items they are installed at full list price on the vehicle before your dealer takes delivery. If you opt to purchase parts from your dealership and have them install it before you personally take delivery, the dealer charges whatever they charge. If you're paying full list, might as well order the car with the parts on the vehicle to avoid full list price + labor... otherwise check out the commercial section area and have your dealer install whatever you wish to purchase

also if they are putting it on at the factory they probably will not ship you all the stock stuff you are entitled to!

not sure what it is like in CT, but here in CA your annual registration fee is based on the original price you paid for the car. If you include anything in the original price of the car you will essentially be paying a tax on it every year when you pay for your registration. Things you add later are not counted in calculating your registration fee.

Thank you. This is, for my purposes, a most informative thread.

Dan, do you mean that I can include the performance parts on my invoice? Second question: Are you now able to release the part number and the price of the performance upgrade?

Thanks for the information Dan. How come when i build a 135 on bmwusa.com and i select BMW performance parts it says price does not include taxes, installation or painting. Its also says to check with your authorized BMW dealer for installation costs. I hope this information is wrong and you are right about being able to the have the BMW performance parts installed at the factory if you order the car with the parts which i would prefer.

I recommend you consider taking delivery at the performance center. I ordered the following BMW performance items with the car: steering wheel, aero kit, rear spoiler, exhaust, air intake and SSK. They were installed at the VPC, just before delivering it to the performance center for me to take delivery.

Since they were installed before delivery, they are included in the new car warranty. Also, you pay for them when you close the deal with the dealer. You pay the dealer the price the performance center quoted, and the dealer pays the performance center. So you can if you wish, include them on the loan.

The price was not full list price (nice discount) and labor was extremely reasonable. A third of what my dealer wanted. I saved a ton of money compared to what my dealer would've charged me to install all of that.

As Alow said, I believe you need to negotiate the price with your dealership. You have much more leverage when you're buying the car than you do when you've already bought it.

Otherwise, search commercial threads / online shopping. Many of us have deals you can purchase.
