Water pump and HPFP failure
I haven't been spared as I got the heating system blowing cold air, then limp mode and then coolant engine light.
Luckily I was a street away from home and made it home. Engine codes were 2E81 and 2E82. Dealer says that it is the water pump AND the HPFP. Quote to come. Is that possible? I tried to search and couldn't find any threads. Or is the dealer trying to milk me? The car is a 09 with 45K which I'm almost certain had the HPFP replaced at 30K (need to double check the carfax) Thanks for the input! |

Those are both water pump codes.
I would ask why they say the HPFP is bad. Either way it should be covered under warranty to 100k I believe.

Warranty on hpfp from what I know is 10 years or 120k miles. Which ever comes first.

My advice to everybody: buy your own OBDII code reader.....they're like 80 bucks for one that'll read and reset codes....now you do not have to "trust" the dealer nor anyone else...you already know what the problem is...
