ROCKET's build/photos/videos UPDATE 08/27/2018

what's up gents, figured I'd make a thread to document my build and share some videos. enjoy!

One of the first things to peak my interest for mods was the quad exhaust. I chose to go with the 1m Meisterschaft exhaust. I was fortunate to find a used one for $1500!! with a little bit of chemical guys shine and some elbow grease the restoration came out great

next part was deciding on the rear. i was close to going the replica route but thankfully i came across a diffuser that will fit the oem bumper, however it was a two week ship so i was rocking no diffuser for quite some time.

some friends and i planned a two day ride up Northern Ca. quite a few backroads we took to Fort Bragg and stayed the night in Fortuna and the next day Hwy 36.

after an 800 mile drive my tires were screaming and getting shredded. The more i tried pushing the car the more i noticed how floaty it is through the corners. Looks like suspension work is on my next to do list

My diffuser finally came in! the exhaust tip spacing was on point however the mounting points were..not that great? the oem diffuser had locking tabs on top that would lock into place once inserted to the bumper, the new diffuser only had two holes on the side to which i had to drill a total of 4 holes into the inside of the bumper lip, also had to trim a few pieces off the lip to slide the speed clip onto. i wasnt comfortable with the top mounting tabs easily sliding in and out so i drilled screws to hold it into place. end result doesnt look bad.

UPDATE 08/27/18
first time at the track! both as car & driver. i was with the other beginners and our first session was a mess. instead of letting cars go one at a time they let everyone go at the same time so the whole 25 min session we were clumped up together, progressively it got better session after session. i intentionally left the suspension stock for this long so i can see what i need to work on first, whether it be driving skills or the car. by the end of the 3rd session my stock r-flats were giving out and i was sliding more and more causing me to dial back a bit so im leaning on ditching the staggered set-up when the time for rims becomes available and of course trying out performance summer tires. Got some saving up to do, in the meantime, enjoy the video!

Very nice! Where did you get your diffuser? I'm looking for a potential replacement that would look nice with my Remus quad set up and yours looks perfect!

Looks fantastic! I have the same diffuser and I've been wanting to do a similar exhaust setup. What did you have to do to get the piping to fit? Did you relocate the battery tray or anything?

KRAM the diffuser came from ese tuning

http://www.esetuning.com/rieger-rear...AaArf5EALw_wcB

keep in mind the exhaust spacing is made for the 1m exhaust not the 135 quad

yes the battery tray had to be modified, thankfully there are alot of write ups to perform the job and looking back at it, it was a breeze to do. the most challenging part was the battery cables. the one in particular was the one running from front to the back of the car, the cables all mounted correctly to the battery itself but when i was trying to route the main cable back under the side trims (properly) the cable was too short and rubbing on the metal frame. out of fustration i ended up cutting the right side interior trunk trim lol. when i have time ill try and find a better solution but aside from that i always thought the cannister lines were going to be the most difficult part but they came out and back in fairly easy.
