Question e92 Springs on an e82?

I've had my Bilstein B12 kit (B8 shocks/struts + Eibach Pro-Kit springs) and Dinan fixed camber plates for a couple months now and it's completely settled. I've come to realize that I prefer the appearance of stock ride height and have considered going back to the stock M-Sport springs, but that means softening up the suspension overall. I really like the performance and the Eibachs are one of the least aggressive options for lowering springs, but it's still just a bit too low for my tastes. But perhaps there's another option...

Has anyone tried out an e92 lowering spring on their e82 to gain stiffness but preserve stock-like ride height?

what about just replacing the springs with another set of OEM M-Sport springs and pair them with Bilstein B4?

Well, because the B4 is just an OE-equivalent shock/strut, which is a downgrade from the B8. Maybe it was easy to miss, but I mentioned I've considered *just* swapping my M-Sport springs back, which means keeping my B8s and simply ditching the Eibach from the equation.

Good advice.

And you can end up with nearly spot on the targeted ride height because they are 3 or 4 different lb/in 'grades'.

Yep, just give your supplier your VIN and they'll set you up with the BMWP springs made to go with your car's options.

A little less than half an inch lower (~10mm) than the M Sport springs. Perfect ride height for the 1er imo.

PS - if they're still available.

I've been looking into similar for my E88.

I have not done it, but in theory it should work ok. The 2092.140 kit should have 10mm longer front springs than on your B12 E82 kit. However, the rear springs are less certain, likely being in the 7mm-14mm longer range...So it's possible the rear could impart a less desirable rake. There are DIY ways of addressing minor issues with the rear spring length, but they would not be the 'easy button' like coilovers.

I'm on E90 springs. Specifically Koni FSD kit 2150-4036.
Was never on the E82 Eibach springs so I can't give any feedback on that side. But I like the setup I'm on. I actually want to go quite a bit more aggressive on the suspension side, just not high on my list right now.

I don't see that Eibach separates the E92 from the E90.
What they do say is it lowers the E90 1.4"/1" and the E92 1"/0.8".
