N54 135i exhaust question
Hey guys , I have a n54 135i with M performance axelback and VRSF catless downpipes with JB4. I do have some crackle and pop but I'm looking for a little more aggressiveness to it. I do have stock mid pipes with my res and cats in it. My question is what would be the best move to do to get more aggressive crackles and pops? Remove the res? Remove the cats? Remove both? Or is there any go to aftermarket midpipes? Any info is appreciated

You could do all of that, maybe get a few more burbles and pops out of the exhaust, and then run into the massive issue of exhaust drone. Or you can buy a tune ie. BMW Performance, MHD (I recommend), Dinan, etc. etc... The point, is that what you're looking for is more on the tuning side of things and less on the parts side.

I agree, it's more the tune. I assume you've noticed if you use slight throttle while braking you get more burbles. I not changing tunes, I'd try messing with the intake next if you haven't already done that.
