I was 26 when I bought my M1, I'll be over twice that when I get the 1M.

I bet you miss your M1? What a truly unique car. Your history of owning BMW's is spectacular and to say, that you will be twice that when you get your 1M is also amazing. Hats off to you I purchased my first Ferrari at 28. Second Fcar at 30 |

I am closer to being in your era, as this is my 45th birthday present. I know this was supposed to be a "young persons M", but this is the car I new I wanted when I first found out about it.
I would be interested in the age demographics of the buyers of this car. I am suspecting it might be on average higher than what BMW was expecting. Someone care to start an age demographics thread? Decade granularity would probably sufice. |

Me as to. I sold the M1 for a good profit, and bought a 275 GTB/4 for 2/3 the M1. A year and a half latter sold the 275 and bought a 166MM (x Scuderia Ferrari). Raced it for five years and sold it and bought a big house to accommodate a growing family. Then I got a Miata. . . . zzzzzz

I am now feeling old at 36...
Well done for your car Chris, nice one. We know us from another "french" forum. My BSM car will be delivered on June 27th and I hope we will then organize a meet-up somewhere in canton de Vaud. |

Judging by your sons youtube channel he and his buddies have a lot to learn about operating a vehicle in public properly. All fun and games until someone gets killed. Parenting=fail!

We had the opportunity to meet Chris_507 and his brand new 1M Coupe last saturday. First of all I have to say that we had a big pleasure to meet Chris with his 1M Coupe and to meet Lionel with his 135i. It's always nice to meet true cars enthusiasts like them
It was the first time for me to see the 1M Coupe in person. At the first sight you see that it's a sporty ride and that it comes from the ///M department. The car sounds great in person. BMW really did a specific sound for this 1M Coupe. Sound is very different than the Z4 35is that I test drove last week. I liked it. The car is in its break in period and I hope that Chris will come back when he will be *authorized* to push this baby ///M Here are 3 pics : Z4M Coupe / M3 E92 DCT / M3 E93 DCT / M3 E92 6MT ZCP / 1M Coupe Alpine White 1M Coupe / Mineral White M3 / Black Lambo (direct competitor to the ///M... lol) Le Mans Blue 135i / 1M Coupe / M3 ZCP I will post more pics when I will have more free time. Nice pictures!
I have to say, directly compared to the M3 the 1M does look more friendly. The 1M may be as fast as the M3, but the M3 looks way more angry. And who's Lambo was this?? =) |
