Cheap Solution to Amber Delete
So I brought my car in to get tinted today, and asked him if he was able to tint the front corner lights. Ended up looking really nice actually. I still need the stealth bulbs so you can see a bit of amber, but overall not so bad.

Looks great! Cleaner than amber-gone stickers. The tints and the car in general look great too

Not yet...I figured I would let the tint settle before I did any close ups. Usually takes about 24 hours for everything to dry and settle.

windows tints after like 2-3 years run the risk of starting to peel on the edges by my experience (had that happen only once actually lol). but being that these are on the outside and exposed to extreme wind when you're going 60+ mph and rock, debris, etc I'd figure it would peel out easily.. |

I know it would be pricier, but does anyone know if you can get an entire headlamp assembly like the one that comes from the factory on European cars and retrofit it to the car?

Based on this statement, I'm positive that what was used on the headlights is not the same film used to tint the windows. It is probably a 3M material just like what's used for "clear bra" purposes...I know companies make other colors besides clear. I had my headlights clearcoated along with the entire front kit, and they are flawless 9 months later.

Here are some close ups as you can see I still need stealth bulbs...oh and FYI it is not the same tint as the windows...it is completely different.
In fact they literally only have 3 tint types...light, medium, and dark...there is no 20% or whatever tint percentage you want.

Yes you can, but they are $1,200 each side. And they do not meed US DOT so they are not legal in the US.

tint is not the ideal material for this since it's not designed for the exterior of the car. after replacing one of my headlights i had to get a new set of amber-gones from **********s since they only come in pairs but did not want to pay $70 for another pair so i went with InStyle graphics after being recommended by a lot of friends and was very pleased to know that he uses the same material as the **********s amber-gones for a more reasonable price and even offers it in different shades...

Did this on my Jet Black 1 and took it off after a week because it ruined the lines of the headlight. The dark tint blends with the dark paint so it creates a headlight profile that looks similar to the X5. just my .02
looks good on AW though

I'll be honest: for me it's either go for the European lights, or just deal with the ambers. I haven't seen "anything in between" that I'm fond of.
