Stock M sport suspension and Arc 8

hey guys I need help figuring out some answers from arc8 owners. The arc 8 thread has not yielded much.

Do 18x8.5 +45 front and 9.5 +62 rear, sit flush with the fender?

Am I currect in suspecting the need for a 3mm spacer in the front and 15mm spacer in the back to make this setup flush?

Once I have the wheels flush what tires can I run without rubbing 235 40 front and 265 35 rear?

Any ARC 8 owners running Continental DWS, if so what size, I ask because they run wider than their specs?

I want to buy tires and spacers to complete my new setup while also keep the flush look I have now. With stock wheels I'm running 15mm spacers front and back.

I have +38/+43 F/R and my wheels sit flush, so aim for similar offsets.

Those values don't mean much without the width. What width are you running?

Alright, I'll plan on getting spacer to get my +45 to +38 and +62 to +43.

Can you please for a few pics?

Check my Instagram page (link in my signature), I have a bunch of different angles. Lemme know if you want me to take any other pics.

Gonna be dead honest I'm pretty sure those are my offsets, can't remember, but I could be switching them around. Either way aim for about +40 with those widths.

Aren’t the rears a +58 offset? I have the ec7 and they fit perfect.

Apex revised the offest on their 1 series wheels. Originally they were +62 but the new offset is +58. I picked up an unused set that happens to be +62.

Bringing this back to life. I attempted to do some math on these compared to my stock 261 style wheels.

It looks like the 8.5" ET45 fronts will push the rim out another 16.7mm (0.65") from stock
The rear 9.5" ET58 rears will push the rim out another 6.7mm (0.26") from stock.

I think that lines the front up a lot better, but the rear doesn't change much (save the nicer contact patch)

Apex doesn't make that rear wheel in a 50 offset, but I think that would land me closer to wear I'd like it to be? Unless I'm crazy?

You are not crazy. I am having this same scenario.

I am running the EC7. Fronts sit perfectly on the car with 18x8.5 and the offset Apex recommended. But the rear 18x9.5 sit sunken in. I put a 3mm spacer on and nothing, I think I can probably run a 10-12mm spacer and it would make them sit like the fronts.

Crud. The next 'lower' offset is 35, which my spreadsheet says is 29.7mm or 1.17" wider, which is too much I think. I think a 45mm offset would be the answer (3/4" further out than stock)

If you ran a 10mm spacer, you'd actually have the same 'change' as the fronts, so a .65" increase in width to the outside.

I need to get a set of 10mm spacers to try. My friend has some 12's I might give a shot.

Report back when you do. I haven't ordered the wheels yet, myself. I keep kind of hoping for a sale since almost every other damn wheel of theirs is on sale right now. haha.

I guess I'll have to do some digging on the ring/spacer set up for those things.
