Will it fit: 17 inch RPF1 addition
So I got bored today and wanted to research into fitting my favorite wheels on my car under the condition that they are 17s rather than 18s.
My car does have Vorshlag camber plates and ohline coils+swift springs. Initial issue is that 17 inch RPF1s don't come in a e82 bolt pattern so one would need an adapter from 5x120 bmw spec to 5x 4.5, more common one. Finding the thinnest adapter from a reliable company because e82s need big offset: H&R has a set that is 15mm thick Than highest offset RPF1s with 5x 4.5 would be +45, if you do the math... the ending offset would be ET30. On paper, I think one could fit a square 17x 9 rpf1 setup, just would need a lot of fender persuasion. Thoughts? Am i going crazy? |

Offset of 30 on a 9” wide wheel is what would fit a 1M. So, if what OP is asking was doable, we wouldn’t need to fit 1M fenders to fit those wheels. It can’t be done. As mentioned, you will have to destroy the fenders to make them fit. |
