How to disconnect phone - private call ???

So say you have a couple people in your car, you want to disable the hands free and use the phone against your ear for a private call? How?

Thanks.

I have an iPhone, and all I do is touch the screen, and I can choose...

BMW
Speaker
Phone

and it will switch to that.

Other phones, I do not know. Maybe post your model? Have you tried just touching the buttons on the phone?

Also you can turn off the bluetooth on the phone, that should switch it back, but maybe not in a call. Again iPhone does what you want. I love it!

I do have to say, other people on the other end complain the signal clarity is not great. That is also why I sometimes switch back. If you want total privacy, nothing beats an earphone... And if that doesn't work you can try...

A MIB Neuralizer pen, but I must admit, it's a bit of an overkill... LOL
(being silly again...rofl...not enough meds?)

There is no "Quick/1 Button way" to do this via the car's controls. I have iDrive, so its about 3-4 clicks to turn off the bluetooth, but still takes about 20-30secs total before the speakers turn off in the car.

Best to find a quick way to turn your bluetooth off using your phone. Your phone manual may show you how to assign a "hot key" to trun bluetooth on and off.

It's better than cutting them in half.

I also thought of getting a new trunk monkey that could deal with those pesky people who insist of sitting in my car!

But I am waiting for the BMW version. With the downturn maybe one of those 40,000 ex BMW personal could apply? LOL (the ones that give us such a hassle) BMW could come out with a BMWTG-1 (trunk gorilla)?

I believe that the button in the craddle inside the arm rest does just that... I just don't know if the phone must be inserted into it to work.
