I'm not exactly sure, but I think all South African cars come with Area-Code 2 DVD (S698A) and Data record without EOBD (S861A) and there is no other RHD country where these options are used.
If the above is true, then there were 110 South African 1M |

Check if one of the missing Portuguese 1M's features in these lists:

You are correct, just checked my cars specification listing and it came with both Area-Code 2 DVD (S698A) and Data record without EOBD (S861A). If we only got 110, why is BMW SA telling us we got 120?

Is there a service in South Africa where you can run VINs? For example in some countries you can run VINs for accidents(carfax) and/or you can check for insurance and/or emission testing? Services like these allow you to check if a car is in the country. |

You're actually totally right. Seems to be one of these 4x cars went to Republic of Moldova(see image below, photo made at BMW FEST 2016) I remember this car (i think at 2013-2015), seen too frequently in center of our city. Later(after 2016) it seems to be disappeared from our country, like sold or crashed(?). Unfortunately don't know concrete\real information. Something from youtube with timestamps : 1) 6:15 2) 8:45 3) 10:06) - Last edited by UnknownIssue; 09-02-2021 at 08:25 PM.. |
