Guys...
Hold your hawses. I have been communicating with the MBX ambassador for a few months now regarding this model. Let me reach out to him and see if they can talk to MBX for a group buy. I suspect the interest will be quite strong from all of our worldwide membership. I hit a Toys r Us just now and the car wasn't there. The customer service rep said that they get two trucks a week, but it will increase to five as holiday season approaches. Hang tight while I post a poll to gauge interest please... |

Good idea! Lets stop raiding each others pocket books. 25 is fine but 51 is getting ridiculous. IEDEI, oh if only it was true that radiology is one of those cush lifestyle specialties! Nope, we're 24/7 365 rarely ANY down time!

No shortage of these cars...don't get gouged on eBay!
Ok straight from the MBX guy.
Bad news first... "As far as a group buy, Mattel normally doesn't do that. I have others inquire to no avail. But my guess is this batch will be hitting stores in the next week or two. Walmarts are usually the first to get them, followed by Target. I will let you know as soon as I see them in store." GOOD NEWS: "And I know there are more versions coming. Mattel told me the 1M will return in the 2014 lineup, and I hear rumors of another version as well. I hope some if the ideas come to fruition..." So don't succumb to the early eBay buying frenzy. And please keep hitting that poll if you are interested. Maybe it will influence Mattel do different colors etc. Last edited by Dee Pee; 10-11-2013 at 04:55 PM.. |

To someone it's possibly worth that much, if not more and I suspect the bidding may go even higher
That's what you got to love about supply and demand You know the seller has to be chuckling, especially if he has more and so is wheelcollectors I remember see some of the minichamps models going for close to $200 Must be a lot of people out there with too much money Nothing about the 1M is cheap |

If I am able to get my hands on enough of these, I will ship them to people.
It will be a royal pain in the ass, but I see it as a small price to pay for all the great advice and camaraderie from this site. If the timing works out, I will actually be in Hong Kong mid-November for a couple days. I can comb the toy stores there (they usually have TONS of great toys from Japan, China, etc) and see what I find. Mailing stuff from HK to Oz or anywhere else in the region is a snap. I'll have web access and will post updates. |

That is a little out of hand for a toy car that will be out soon. I'm just going to stop by Walmart or Toys R Us when I get bored and see if they have them.

Could that be the reason prices are going up so fast...?

Lamley Group sneak peak
Hey guys,
Lamley Group (the MBX/Hot Wheels/etc collector site) is going to feature the 1M tomorrow and are using a brief write-up I did. I couldn't have done the work without the resources from this forum so I wanted to thank you all. The Lamley site admin gave these shots for me to share with everybody. The yellow car is the pre-production model. It's the rarest 1M model to date. Annnnnd of course now I gotta find an MBX E30 M3 in addition to the 1M. The first 20+ sold way too fast for the whopping $5.99 for a matchbox car. Wheelcollectors had no choice but to limit supply through bidding auctions, and milk anxious 1addicts before these hit the stores. Well done.
