Price check 135i

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Found a guy with a 2011 135i black on black 6mt with 89,000 miles with a clean title for 9,000 dollars. I haven't looking into the 1 series much as they don't have an awd which is my main goal. But as a driver it would do ok for the mean time. good deal?

Potentially, but that mileage puts it well into the range of much needed service- Find out if any of the following have been replaced, or plan on doing them yourself if they haven't-

-Oil Filter Housing Gasket(s)
-Valve Cover and/or it's gasket
-Water pump and thermostat
-All the fluids- brake, coolant, power steering, trans and diff
-Pulleys and serp belt
-Oil pan gasket

At that price I'm thinking some/all of those are ready to be done, and can be costly if not doing the work yourself.

Do the 2011s with the N55 still have all those same issues?

$9k seems like a reasonable price to me as I've been trying to pay attention lately. You can use pricing tools like KBB and Edmunds, though they're not always that accurate from my experience (they seem to severely undervalue 07-10 Cayman/Boxster S that I was looking at for the last 6 months, for instance). I would recommend running searches on Autotrader.com for a very wide geographic area and see what people are asking for as similar of a car as possible.

Even better if you save some cars to your Autotrader account and see how much they drop before they sell and how long they sit. Imagine they still went for another ~10% less than asking price.

Thank you for the in depth break down. I'll see if the guy has a maintenance list for me!

yes i have noticed this quite a lot too. my biggest issue with kbb is i see a lot of manual cars priced way lower than automatics yet they sell higher in a real world scenario for more. (depending on vehicle of course)

Check with the guy, see if the items 1and1 listed have been taken care of. I would imagine most would have been done before 75k.
