where to ground alpine HIDs on an n55?

Hi everyone,

So i went with an alpine HID kit, and i found the positive hookup no problem, but i can't seem to find a grounding hookup like the videos. i know those are n54 engines and i have an n55, so where have you all grounded your kits in the engine bay? Thanks!

I installed mine yesterday and like you was looking for the ground, works like a champ without it. However if you look at this install video (
)
for the V3 it doesn’t show a ground connection either. It must be the V3 that doesn't required an external ground or its using the vehicle ground via the lights connector.

The V3 kit doesn't need a ground. The V2 kit attaches to a negative terminal which in the N54 is underneath there the tube for the windshield washer fluid is.. But I don't know if that's also there on the N55. It should also work if you just attach it to any screw in the engine bay that's connected to the metal body of the car (unpainted metal).

That's what i was hoping for. I would feel better having it grounded as it comes with a grounding lead. Thanks!
