Suggestion Needed: Random Parts
Hi all.
I need a variety of parts, some odd, for a 2009 BMW 135i. Some of these include left and right mirrors to replace the very brown, rusted/burnt ones, and a strange part of my sunshade which cracked, which isn't a replaceable part unless buying the whole kit. Question is: Is there somewhere around Toronto where I can buy these kind of parts from scrap collection of some sort - maybe from trashed 135s/128s? Second question, and I am assuming this has been asked many times but, where do fellow Ontario folk buy their new parts from? Things like mirrors, replacement angel eye bulbs, etc. Are there Canadian vendors who are reasonably priced? Thanks, Marv

N54tuning sells bulbs.
As for replacement parts vendors are scarce. BMW dealerships are pretty much the only place to get oem parts for 1 series. If you are a bmw true north member(45 bucks a year) you get 20% discount on parts at pffaf bmw and town and country. They now have an online ordering website. Also eurosporttuning is an ECS tuning dealer. They also offer a discount for true north members. There may also be a few people selling parts on the southern Ontario 1-Series page on Facebook.

Marv,
For new parts Pfaff BMW is good if you are part of some clubs. Germanparts.ca also is a good resource from what I have found - also have a discount from some clubs there as well. In terms of scrap parts - I am not sure sorry couldn't help with that ones. Another good resource is realoem.com - should get you any part numbers you need. |

If your out in the east end. Endras has a 20% discount without buying a membership. Mention MaXbimmer, the parts guy will give a discount. Also, Endras also has a online parts shopping list for our BMWs. So you can order online without leaving the house, shipped to your door.

Hi:
I recently acquired a 11' 135i which needed the third tail light replaced. realoem.com to figure out the part number required. exoparts for the actual part. You might have some luck going that route. the folks at exo were pretty quick responding to my emails. |

Thanks for all of the suggestions.
I will check the realoem site to ensure I have the right part, and then start calling around. -Marv
