Not really much to it. Depends on your budget for parts selection, but FBO is pretty straightforward in my opinion. Feel free to peruse my build thread. A few of us here have documented everything.

well i know the parts list needed but which brand down pipes is better ? is paying the extra $$ for dp s with a flex section worth it ? which intercooler would suit me best if i have upgrading turbos in mind ? thanks in advance and will check out your build

VRSF are always highly recommended for downpipes.
Wagner for intercoolers but VRSF also make great intercoolers so you really can't go wrong. Intake is entirely up to you and people will debate until death whether or not a dual cone intake is worth doing. Don't expect any power from it but, if you ask me, it's worth doing just for the sound. Some people hate the induction sound though. It's up to you. Options range from a couple hundred dollars for a basic dual cone setup to a few hundred dollars for an enclosed filter. With that being said, for a FBO car running moderate boost, the OEM intake is perfectly fine. |

I have a Burger Motorsport duel cone intake with BMR Autowerkes (Australian company) 5" stepped intercooler which is a replica of the Wagner Evo intercooler. I also have BMR Autowerkes downpipes which have been specifically designed for RHD cars, however, I have not had them fitted yet. I'm using MHD Stage 1+ tune and will go to 2+ when I get the downpipes on.

View post on imgur.com Don't forget to upgrade your charge pipe to a metal one too because the crappy plastic OEM ones are prone to failing. I have an Evolution Racewerkes charge pipe with OEM diverter valves. Fitment is absolutely perfect. Any metal charge pipe will be fine but there are some products that people have have fitment issues with. You'll also need to decide if you want a vent-to-atmosphere BOV or diverter valves before you order. |

Remember, that almost all DCI setups are sucking hot engine air, whereas the car comes from the factory with a CAI (draws ambient temp air from outside the engine compartment).

B3, my mods are listed in my signature pretty much in the order that I installed them. The only big change I'd consider would be running an ethanol setup. Things you have to consider are what do you plan to do with your car. I do not race or track my car, I just like fast cars.
Back when I started modding my car, running a meth system was the thing to get you over the 400whp hump. But that required a piggyback to operate (I went with a Procede, which later went out of business), a meth tank, pipes, etc. I was going that way and found that even with an LSD I was just spinning tires anyways. But I would like another 50hp on the top end. I'm approaching 100k milkes, so I'll probably just mildly upgrade my turbos in year or two. If starting from scratch, running ethanol seems to be a good way to go. At first I did not like the way your fuel consumption (mpg) goes way up, but methanol is proportionally cheaper anyways.

Also my car is FBO. Also highly recommend M3 control arms in the front and coilovers. I just did this after doing FBO and definitely wish I did it sooner

(ebay) 1320 down pipes, don't fit the best but flow really well
Berk Technologies exhaust K&N drop in replacement filter VRSF 7.5 HD intercooler, requires trimming Phoenix Racing + Tial BOV chargepipe MHD E85 mix tune Upgraded Low Pressure Fuel Pump That will put you close to if not over the 450whp mark reliably. At that point you'll want to second guess your power before traction and braking mods. Last edited by iminhell1; 04-20-2018 at 03:43 PM.. |

Especially in California where it is subsidized and only costs ~$2.50 a gallon compared to ~$4.00 a gallon for crap 91. Little do they know they are giving us cheap race gas for our decatted cars lol.

Highway robbery! It's $1.70 near me. More if I go into the city. My fuel comes from about an hour south of me and I have family that sells crop to them (about 3,000 acres). |
