The SIMOD 135 wide body race car...
I figure this might be of interest.
The shop wide body, full aero, 135i race car for BMW CCA B mod racing. 18x10 front 18x11 rear, 305 front, 320mm rear slicks, might TRY 320 front 335rear later.. Currently apart for a motor swap, and a dip stick oil pan, to be able to run the DCT (needed a 6 bolt crank not 8) then we decided screw it and are doing a single conversion with a GTX3576R .82 housing. Not much stock left on it. Two 25 row oil coolers on each corner with inline 180 degree T stat, huge front mount intercooler that barely fits under the bumper cover. 3 inch center exit (currently has a twin tip on it not single) exhaust we call it "the ass pipe..." DCT cooler in trunk, and Diff cooler in trunk with pump and lines. Both have cooling fans and ducted to bottom and out back. Ill try to upload some more pictures as we go, and I find them, and update the post. Pictures of some of the car. we build a custom defroster box to use the heater core as a secondary radiator and defroster since foggy windows suck during a race. Accusump is bolted in. |

Any updates on the oil pan with dipstick? Are you making modifications to the pan to help with oil starvation as well?

Can you post some more details about your accusump setup? I plan on installing one in my car and I'd like to put it in the trunk.

That's a long run to the engine from the trunk I would call accusump and ask them what they think if its a 1L you might have room on the manifold side if you relocate the intake to the passenger side. Unfortunately I am still a month or two away from getting back to work on ours. |
