Rear Seat Delete

Any DIYs?

Have not found much information on removing the rear seats.

Would like to have a roll bar as a replacement.

Thanks,
Durim

Guide? Haven't looked. I can tell you that popping out the trim around the seats isn't too hard with a plastic trim tool or dulled putty applier, there are no especially hidden fastening screws or bolts to find, and shouldn't be too hard to figure out a process once the trim and rear cardboard compartment lid is ganked.

It's been done quite a bit. Remove the trim, use a socket to remove the seats- they just bolt in. Some people have then fabricated wood boxes to make it a little more finished looking.

Poke around the seats and you'll see. It's very straightforward.

Is it any different for those with the folding seats that are from the cold weather package?

I think the cold weather package only adds the pass-through with ski bag on the upper part of the rear seats so removing the rear bottom should be the same

Should be the same. With the cold weather package I think it's a door built into the seat so it comes out with it. Not sure though. I don't have that option.

I don't think you actually have to unbolt the bracket to remove the rear seat backs. I did, but others have reported that you can knock the hinge out of the bracket. Good luck.

Did you do a custom rear seat delete? Or just removed them and left it that way?

I'm sure there's not much weight savings. 40lbs at most?
