$100 is good as mine 😲 Which size? *VRSF Intercooler 7in, or 5in FMIC Upgrade for 2007-11 N54 BMW 135i/335i [E82/E90/E92] The easiest way, remove front grill unless you have a lift, otherwise jack front up place jackstands under car. It's likely cutting will be involved: front hard plastic matrix support to fit in the larger fmic. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=718951 Hope my 2cents help? Cheers! So I adopted the time honored method of tightening the living sh** out of all of them. Seemed to solve the problem. Most people report not having to trim with the 5" VRSF, but I found I needed to do so in order to get it to fit nice and snug (see attached pics). Having said that, I probably went overboard with the trimming. But I had a free Saturday and nothing else to do Karl.

Thanks for help @wjk_glynn I trimmed about the same as you and it fits pretty snug. I prolly could go a tad higher. I had the coupler blow out on me today and I was wandering about over tightening. Thanks again for the detailed pictures.

question on passenger side intake connection
On the passenger side, does the VRSF supplied flexible silicone boot attach to the original accordion piece? Or do I cut the metal band, remove the accordion piece, and then use the VRSF silicone boot to make the connection?

You cut that metal band and remove the accordion piece.
