Aussie mods?
Hi all,
I've made my final decision on the car. SGM Manual, logic 7, heated seats. Already considering what mods to do and interested to read what you guys plan on doing. Is anyone going ahead with suspension changes? That photo that Kris posted in this thread looks good. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...9622&page=2:// Thats been lowered right? But does the car need it for improved handling? And if you do drop it do you do coilovers or just new springs? Also the CDV sounds like a cheap but very worthwhile change. Seems like a nobrainer? Is there a chip available here for the 135? I am mechanically useless so not really sure what else would be worth doing but be intersted to hear from you guys as most of you seem to be fairly clued up on the mechanical side of things. |

That silver car is standard. I'd be hesitant to muck with the suspension unless you or the workshop really knows what they are doing. Just adding a set of springs would cause disaster (thats my feel on it anyway!)
Chips are out for 335, so yeah 135 is the same there.. CDV? well I guess you need to first see if its broke or causes you issues. I've heard about it and am interested if the 1 to 2nd change is as bad as they say.. somehow I feel its people just complaining as BMW would not release a car with that feel.. |

Be aware of 'chipping' the 135 if it's late model. The latest firmware version detects and logs chips, even intercepter units. There's currently NO way around this yet, but it's being actively worked on.
I'll be getting an ActiveAutowerkes unit from Andrew@SouthernBM once it's cracked.

Hahah noted thanks Kris.
Yeh looking at the silver car again its cornering quite hard obviously making it look lower. That AC shcnitzer kit sounds like it could be fun! But I have to say the clip with the original exhaust still sounds pertty bloody good. Re the gear change I definitely found 1st to 2nd pretty notchy. Will still give it a chance before swapping out the CDV but from all the reviews in the US it sounds like it improves the change considerably. |

that and possibly wider tyres. Front sway bars going to be an issue to upgrade though due to space I believe.
