It looks like you had the old one cut off and clamped. Clamps and piping come with the exhaust?

ive done this exhaust install myself..less than an hour to install.
impression: unbelievable deep, grumbling coming out the back. everything is much louder and the car screams when you really hit the high rpms. the gurgles and pops on idle and downshift are intoxicating...can't wait for the spring aka windows down 24/7. this is my therapy. so far, 500+ miles and it really is breaking in now. |

Hey, I saw in your profile that you've got a 318ti and now a 128i - I'm about to make the same upgrade (still waiting for my 128i to build)! Fun car, the 318ti. Huge difference?
Anyway, about the exhaust - it sounds nice in the videos, but in day to day driving, do you find it at all intrusive? Like is it just a nice assertive exhaust note or is it going to make the neighbors think a lowered '92 Civic with a fart can is coming up the street? (In other words, is it ricey sounding?) I'd like a few key tasteful mods for my car, but I don't want my wife to laugh at me. |

I think the best thing about the BMW perf exhaust is that it's on when you want it and off when you don't. cruising on the highway it's not noticeable at all.
but rev it up thru the gears and it's very very nice. Growlish and beefy. Not rice at all IMHO. |
