125i doesn't accept Injen intake
Well guys...
I started with the Injen intake a few month ago. I was impressed impressed by the performance gains, a little less with the noise level which gets very very loud around 5000 RPM and last point, when driving at very low RPMs where you may feel a step in the torque, so that the cruise control acts weird sometimes on highways (in slight downhill for instance) . After a few days I had a yellow light. The errors codes were all "Air/Fuel ratio too high". I made it cleared and it came back again. and again ... and again... After that, I installed a BMS powerbox hoping it would solve this issue. It didn't neither. I checked the connections, tried to lower the intake position without success. The engine's still got too much air. I've finally put the original filter on with regrets. Maybe I'm gonna try the KN drop in filter. I don't understand why other 128i/125i didn't experience that... My guess is still that it's designed for 128i but not for 125i. I'll give it a very last chance when retuning to 130 specs. But so far it's been a waste of time + money and many worries on the road. |

I have seen a few posts regarding Injen and this complaint. Do some more research, you might not be the only one experiencing this issue.
