Let's get see some cars at ECR.... We should be able to get people on track for $150-200 for the day.... which will get at least 7-8 sessions...
I have to go to Oklahoma tomorrow, I might take the long way down I35 and swing by and see how its going.

i'm on the fence for this one. i'm doing the 1.7 in late march and was planning the 3.1 in May with the edge. however i have yet to do a BMW DE so it may be time for a change???

i think a Hallett trip is still in order at some point this year for the 1Ms...I dont want to go alone.

Moving for work. Should have made the move a while back but did not get around to it until now.

On another note, I know that TX is a two plate state, are you all complying with this? What is the penalty for only having the back plate?

i havent put one on the front of any of my new cars and i've notice most people with nice lux cars here dont do it. i guess you drive at your own risk but typically the cops are not out ticketing cars for this. however if you are pulled over for something else they could write you up for that as well.

seems like i read something recently where the last legislation re-wrote a existing law that had plate rules in bedded in it and forgot to include the two plate language in the rewrite and it was passed. i dont how much this argument would go over but its probably valid for anyone who wants to put up the effort to try to get out of a "tag ticket".

I run with no plates on the front on my RX7 and RS4. I also did this on my S2K. I have good excuses on the RX7 and RS4 - no mount location or its on backorder right now. I did think about getting a tow hook mount so I don't have to drill the bumper.

In Texas, the only law enforcement entity that seems to be concerned about the front plate requirement is the DPS (state troopers). So, unless you typically travel in rural or out-of-town areas, you may get away without being hassled. I got stopped by DPS in Williamson County (near Austin) the day that I installed my new rear plate on the 1M; I went ahead and put the front plate on--it's just not worth giving them a reason to pull you over.

Who has the BSM 1M in the DFW area that had the rear fenders rolled at Texas Track Works?

Welcome. I live down the street from texone. That car had fender damage last time I saw it. It was parked on the street and looks like it got crunched by a construction truck from the house being built next door.

Just kidding. It's a flawless car. Enjoy.

That was not funny at all...my heart dropped for a sec!!

I ran a carfax and had PPI done at autoscope. They said it was as if it was brand new!

I live in the same area so you will see me around.

I am planning to have clearbra installed by Norm at invisibra in early march. Anyone have experience with them? Steve at autoscope recommended them. I am also having Josh Ottman detail it before the bra goes on.

I am having front bumper, entire hood, front fenders for sure, maybe tire splash areas (quote is around $1600 installed). Does this seem fair? Any other areas I should consider? Thanks guys, this car is so fun!

It seems kind of funny to me that there are 4 of us all within about 5 miles of each other. University/Greenville here...

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I used norm for the front bumper and side skirts. He does great work. Cost about $500
