>> HP Autosport<< Ferodo DS2500 Street/Track pad
The DS2500 is currently the best hybrid track/street pad on the market. It features the moderately high bite and solid fade resistance of a track pad, with the relatively low dust and noise levels of a street pad. When used as a street pad, it can produce some squeal on certain vehicle platforms. During aggressive driving the DS2500 is known for its flat torque curve, which means as temperatures go up, the response through the brake pedal remains consistent. If you drive aggressively on the street, do some canyon runs, autoX, and maybe some light track duty on street tires, the DS2500 is tough to beat.
When used on fast, heavy cars on the track with race tires, pad wear rates tend to be higher than some of the full track pad compounds. Under those conditions, HPA would recommend the Ferodo DS3000 or DS1.11. Thanks for the update, Harold. Please keep me posted, I have an upcoming track day that I need to be ready for.
Also, any comment on my squeaking question?

When properly bedded in, these Ferodo DS2500's makes hardly any noise on the street and that is why it's so popular with weekend track guys. These are a better choice for better braking(cold and hot) and less dust and noise over the Hawk HP+'s. We have yet to find another brake pad out there with the same characteristics. |

Good to know - had to go with Cool Carbon's this time around due to the time crunch...but as soon as those are done I'm eyeing the Ferodo's. I'll make sure to check with you guys sooner next time around!
Thanks for the info.

Got the rears from Harold a couple weeks ago... Just the rears... I must say, when they warm up, they REALLY make a difference... Got this done with stainless brake lines so that also helps.
I can only imagine the fronts would be even more noticeable, im thinking about dtiching the OEM new front pads I have and complete mye setup with the Ferodos... They brake OK when they're cold, but once they are warmed up, thats where they shine. |

Can I get a quote for front and rear pads plus I would like to put in Motul RBF600 fluid, but not sure how much I'd need for a full flush. Zip is 34787. Thanks!

Hey Harold, Im going to buy s front set of pads for track use. I already have Ferodos in the back, wich I only use for the track (Cool Carbons as daily). Will it be OK to run HAWK DTC 60 or 70 on the front and the ferodos ds2500 on the back?? Or should I stick with the Ferodos on the 4 wheels?
I really want the racing pad feel but truth is the track I go to isnt that hard on brakes according to me. |
