  1. How you negotiate is really up to you, sounds like you have a price in mind, I would offer that & see what sticks..
  2. The likelyhood of getting your price is directly related to how realistic your price is.
  3. The car would return to the selling dealer. You can request a courtesy delivery to a closer dealer, but there is typically a fee involved.

I was hoping to pay about $35,510 for ED on an 09 135i with nav, usb, and sport package. That price includes about $1,000 for dealer profit, so it seems reasonable to me.

Would anyone feel comfortable sharing roughly what they paid for a car like what I specified earlier? Thanks.

How does one order the Priority 1 option for Terra leather? I am purchasing through Military Sales and they do not know anything about "Priority 1" options...can they just enter the order code LWB8 and it should take it in the order system? Is there anything special they have to do to stipulate "Priority 1"?

Thanks!

life is good - my wife just took delivery of her new 135i convertible

She is very happy with the new little car and I can tell little difference from her 328xi except the 135i seems a bit more zippy. She does let me drive her new car ever so often. :w00t: 1st) I have always enjoyed programing her and my cars to personalize them but for the life of me, I can't get the car to chirp when she locks the doors. The dealership is working on it too but they seem to be having problems coming up with the answer. I'm starting to think I will need to add an alarm system in get that chirp. Am I right??? 2nd) The dealership also said the spare tire was under the car but it sure must be small cause i can't find that either. I'm thinking the 135i comes with run flat's. Am I right??? My third question is about the "DTC" button. Is the dealership correct when they say that the "DTC" button should be pressed when the snow starts to fall? I know it will not be quite like the all wheel drive of the 328xi but I'm hoping it can get her to town and back if the weather isn't to bad.
Thank you for considering my questions. Please excuse if this is the wrong place to ask these questions.:iono: This seems to be a great site.

FATBOY,

1. I'll leave this one to the pros...
2. Yes, your wife's car comes with runflats as do just about all non-M BMWs these days.
3. Do NOT turn off DTC in the snow! It may just save your bacon by preventing wheel spin and keeping the tail from sliding out from under you. If you do happen to get stuck in the snow, it is only then that you should turn off DTC to allow wheel spin to get enough traction to extract yourself from that snowbank you slid into while having fun with 300hp!!!

For #1) You need the Alarm to make the car chirp. I guess the chirp comes from the alarm speaker.

not sure how the military sales would order that... I would assume once they actually log into the dealer system they would then see the option to spec out the car

Pressing the DTC button once turns on DTC. It allows more wheel spin than DSC, so you don't get stuck in the snow. Holding the button Turns DTC and DSC off.

Hello. I'm in need of locating a 135i Hood. My girlfriends brother backed up into my brand new AW 135i. Can anyone lend a helping hand?

By chance does anyone know the part number for the hood? Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.

Can you define a good credit?

Hi All,

Someone probably asked that question, but could you define what is a good credit in general and from BMW standpoint?
I plan on ordering a 128i in the coming days. The last time a checked my credit (September) it was 707. It is only 20 months old but I don't have any debt (credit card or loan) outstanding and I never had a late payment.
Even if I have a good job, I just get the feeling that I might end-up paying a higher interest rate than what BMW or PenFed propose because my credit history is too recent. I also don't have a cosigner...
Thanks in advance for the insights.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey, mind answering my question in this thread? http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19859 I just want to know if that particular feature can be retrofitted and if so then how much would it cost?

Well, in general anything over 700 is considered good. Obviously though there are other considerations, such as:
  • amount of established credit
  • debt to income ratio
  • trending: for example in January were you a 750, but now a 700.
The good news with bmw's program is they don't tier your rate

Update: Hey dbtheo, thanks a lot for your last input. I tried that however, and no matter which way I put it the mirrors won't slide down when I put it in reverse. I tried moving the mirror adjuster switch to the left and to the right, neither worked. So I think I'm missing an option. Which one is it? How much to get it retrofitted if possible? Whats the cheapest way to make those mirrors slide down when I go to reverse, with out manually having to do it of course?

Thanks a lot!!

Just curious -- in order to get the pass-through with the quasi-armrest for the back seat, do you have to order the Cold Weather package?

yes, otherwise there is no center pass through, just the folding seats

Looks like my travel plans are starting to firm up. I think my European trip is going to take place in May 2009.

Would it be advisable to put in an order before December 31 -- to lock in a price when dealers are trying to move cars for the end of the year? Or should I wait until February or March, say?

I heard you can order a custom diecast through the dealer with whatever options you want (paint, interior, etc.). Is this true? If not, how much do they run, and would they be available before Christmas?

Edit: I meant "If so...", not "If not..."
