Turbo compressor pipe

Here are some shots of the compressor outlet pipe for the RHD 135,335.
As we are doing some turbo mods to Mr Clintons car i though we would do the same mod that we did to justins car.
This pipe runs from the turbo outlet to the intercooler. as you can see the stock pipe is very restrictive.

I cannot understand why BMW engineers would allow the pipe to be crimped like that in the first place. Nice job Peter

I dont know of any benefits i cant prove that it makes power or not. i think it is just wrong to not do the mod if the turbos are off maybe it is fine for a stock STD car . But for a car with any mods just do it.

maybe it's the same part for LHD cars and it is made that way to clear some other parts? Doesn't make sense if it's just there for nothing...

Is it a big hassle getting the pipe out if you are not taking the turbos off?
