We ran our old 04 F-150 for a hundred miles or so with ATF, it idled far smoother afterwards.

Replaced my broken third stop light. Half of my red lens had completely fallen off, and I didn't want to drive it in the rain.

I did not want to file/cut the metal tab on the trunk lid, so I dremel'ed off the ridge on the underside and the notch on the top side for the tab. Took 3 test fits, but it dropped in perfectly. Now I can get it back on the road, even with all this rain.

Car picked up from dealership, freshly painted front bumper.

Polishing machine, pads and compounds arrived today, tomorrow will be a nice day throwing my back and aching my arms detailing the paint.

FYI, trans fluid does not contain detergents. Just do a couple 1K oil changes, and get the oil hot. Nice, long, steady speed, highway drives.

@olds350

Actually, ATF has some detergents but not as much as motor oil. It's not going to blow up the motor but it's not actually helping anything either. There are strong opinions on it over on the Bobs The Oil Guy site. Consensus is to just use a good engine flush & then a few short cycle oil changes as MightyMouseTech suggests.

Installed my MILVS, what a pain in the ass lol. The washer method didn't work, at all, so did the method of removing the rocker and installing it that way. Worked but getting that spring off the rocker and back on was a huge bitch.

But it's on! Now just waiting on the tune and we'll see some gains

You guys in the USA are lucky to have people willing to go beyond just a software update on the N52. Here in Germany, software and call it a day, they are not interested anything from 3 stage intake to MILVS or cams.

Polished the car, broken and tired, she needs a good wash. Promise to upload pics when im done washing to see the final results.

We gotta get you a care-package sent over. MILVs, headers and anything else you can't get over there.

Once I hit about 1000m on this oil, I'll do another liqui molly treatment and oil change. I have about 300 miles since the last change and I see evidence of it looking cleaner, but it's far from being clean. As you said, a few short cycle changes and I should be good to go.
