Dyno Results - My Single Turbo 6266 BMW 135i made 749WHP!

I finally strapped my 135i onto the dyno this weekend and am thrilled with the results. I can't find a higher published power output from a PTE 6266 on an N54! Now I need to put my Draggy to use so I can see how I compare to some of you guys...

I did a handful of pulls at various power levels and attached the logs below. This should give everyone a good idea of what a properly set-up 6266 can do from low boost to high boost. You can find my complete modification list at the bottom. And yes, this is a JB4 car!

All pulls done in 4th gear (manual transmission). DynoJet with STD correction.

Watch the video with speedo & exhaust angles... plus lots of awesome turbo noises. I also explain a lot of stuff as I'm dynoing the car.

Shoutout to John @ Doc Race for providing an awesome single turbo kit and support. I can't wait for that intake manifold. Terry @ BMS for the log feedback and guidance. Ken @ WedgePerformance for a personalized backend flash and good communication. Steven @ BMP for the quality port injection kit. Tiago @ VRSF for an awesome intercooler and Robert @ Precision Raceworks for the fuel setup and ignition kit. This car wouldn't be the beast it is without you guys!

Let me know what you think!

That turbo needs more RPM, or displacement. When you building the motor?

Very nice!
I'm glad that I saw the video on YouTube the other day, so I could find this thread.

I cannot get over the top end from the flat torque curve. I guess it's the TS setup. I need to pay more attention because I did not DocRace stayed in the game after their HPF endeavor.
Furthermore, how consistent it is with only 9* timing at ever boost level. It's perfect. Can you monitor/log EGTs?

It definitely makes me want to get out of my ancient e36 chassis...

I did on stock turbos. Managed a 12.2 @ 126mph. Don't care about dig racing, especially with the single turbo setup now. It spins too much, I have a radial tire but that's just asking to break something.

I don't think the JB4 has the ability to monitor EGTs. I'm not sure if there is a sensor anyways.

You and I both love the flat torque curve

Nope, drives like a regular car until you push down the go pedal. Doesn't leak anything, no dash lights, etc.

Some might get annoyed with the exhaust or SMFW rattle, but I love it.

Hey is your current engine built?

Also how long have you been beating this engine at that power level?

Nope, stock engine still. I only drive it on weekends or nice days, but I've put about 5000 hard miles on it.

I watched your video a while ago and was wondering if you actually noticed a difference with the diff brace and if so what exactly? That's tentatively next on my list of upgrades but am wondering if the ROI is worth it, in the option of someone that "races" their car.

Honestly I did so many rear suspension mods at the same time, I couldn't tell you if the diff brace made a different or not. Hopefully you can understand

Yeah I understand. I have the poly Whiteline bushings but was sit getting wheel hop from a dig start, at least on the street. The diff brace is supposed to correct that but I'm a little skeptical about that. Thanks for the response.
