Best camber angle for autocross and street

Hi all,

the car is on stock suspension and i like that way it handles and rides but for the autocross I would like to get a bit more grip up front. SO what is the best camber angle for this and for street use too. I only autocross once or twice a month so readjusting is not desired.

Thanks!

Every time I get bored with the car I take it to autocross and I fall in love all over again!

I read here about -2º front and -1,5º rear.

Ah ok, I figured the M3 control arms would have sufficed but not at those angles. So I guess i will have to get camber plates.

Yes, you will need camber plates to get -2 to -3. You will want about -3 for track duty.

If this is your daily driver and you're not running a square tire setup & rotating regularly, I would strongly recommend adjusting your camber when needed with a good set of plates.

Yes, we did that and it helps. We also KW camber plates and M3 arms. Nothing on sale on the market will give you too much as everything is still not enough. Get as much as possible.

Of course you cannot run both camber plates and M3 LCAs in STU....

I have the Vorshlag plates and I do adjust for max camber at my monthly auto-x, it's easy.

I run a square setup of 265/35/18 Kumho XSs on 8.5" CSL reps, Hotchkiss FSB, Helene filter, and BMW performance exhaust

Amen to that! I have 255 Z1's and they barely fit! That is with a roll in the front and plates at max neg. camber. I wonder how the Kuhmo's handle. I have never ran that tire...

I agree to the above comments... I use Vorshlag plates and adjust them at the event for max camber, then back to normal for driving around town (along with changing wheels)... I am right around -2.9 up front with my plates...
