delivery date

evening all. new to the site - thanks to everyone on here by the way; really informative - and i just wondered if anyone in the UK has a delivery date for their 1 series yet? i was given 1st December when i ordered, but I was told today by BMW it's not going to happen. Just wondered if anyone else has a delay?

Thanks. If i don't get it before Christmas, I may cancel it and go elsewhere. I'm told the delay is only on the 135i and only because i optioned it in alpine white, which wasn't initially available in the UK. Can't believe they'll make the same mistake in the US because firstly, this car is so important to BMW over there and secondly, so many of you option white cars, whereas it's still quite rare here. I'll let you know when it turns up and what I think. I hope it's better than the 335 i've just sold...

well i talked to dealer again today.. i think i call too much haha... but he was a fellow sti owner...anyways

bimmerfest is may 3rd in cali and he assured me the car will def. be in our hands by then if you are in your dealers first allocation.

march 22nd....would be amazing... all the materials say spring 08...which starts march 21/22 but it can come any time from march till the end of spring which i think is june 21st....

has anybody tried to negotiate a deal with a dealer where they provide a loaner until car delivery if the new car is not delivered by a certain date?

I need a car by April 1 (inspection/sticker issues), and would need to make altrernate arrangement if my 135i doesn't show up by then. I wouldn't mind paying some easonable fee for this loaner, just wondering if dealers can accomodate this type of request.
