no resonators because they're not needed on my car.

So at highway speeds is there any droning? All of the comments seem to be very positive but there aren't too many about the volume at cruising. I'm looking for an exhaust that will open up when on the throttle but still be *almost* inaudible on the freeway.

So what affect do the resonators have on the sound? Do they just make it all around quieter?

Yep, just tones things down a bit and apparently helps with potential droning (for those with downpipes).

That's no problem... You can thank us after it's installed and you hear it.

Did you ever hear the resonated version beforehand? Or did you just opt for resonators out of caution? |

I just went with the resonators due to feedback from current cp-e users like jtsherri. I haven't heard the system in person, the sound clips were enough. Guess you could say it was out of caution because I spend a lot of time cruising at around 2500rpm on the Beltline & I40 which is where they said there was drone w/the auto tranny. |

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...p-e+turbo+back Resonated with the dp's. Note however these vids were taken long before the exhaust had settled in, it is quieter now. There is no drone!!!

I decided to hold off on the resonators because what droning is there doesn't bother me... And if you've got a 6-speed, I've heard it's nearly non-existent. It's definitely more apparently because I have a STEP; however, I can't speak on it with regard to having catless downpipes installed (I'll know more tomorrow. ). If it gets really bad once they're installed, I'll have resonators welded in to my midpipes for sure.
